SOIL IMPROVEMENT
At Henry Drilling, we provide advanced soil mixing solutions engineered to improve ground stability and create structural barriers. Utilizing specialized high-torque machinery, our single axis and triple axis auger mixing methods efficiently blend in-situ soil with grout or bentonite to build foundation elements, install high-capacity shoring, or create reliable water cut-offs for deep excavations. Explore our specific soil mixing capabilities below to determine the ideal approach for your site's ground conditions.
-
With single axis soil mixing, the soil is mixed with grout injected through the drill string. This process creates a grout soil mix that is typically in the range of 1-5mpa.
Applications and Equipment Capabilities
This specific installation method can be used for:
Foundation piles
Shoring
HFDI uses this method when mass mixing or having to penetrate difficult soil conditions. To perform this work, we utilize high torque drilling machines, such as our Bauer BG40’s.
-
The triple axis auger mixing method consists of three soil mixing tools that overlap, creating a continuous wall three piles at a time.
During the installation process, grout and bentonite are injected through the center stem of the augers as the tools are advanced into the soil, producing a consistent soil and grout mixture.
Applications and Advantages
This installation method is a cost-effective way to:
Install shoring
Build foundation elements
Create a water cut-off for deep excavations
