Henry Foundation Drilling Inc. was successful in the design build shoring scope for the new Golden Ears pump station. HFDI teamed with Isherwood engineering to design a cost-effective shoring solution that would also act as a water cut-off for the project. Sheet piles, steel work and anchors were chosen for this project, with sheet lengths up to 80’ in length. HFDI mobilized a lattice crawler crane with 180’ of boom and a vibro hammer to install the sheet along with a robust engineered frame system to hold the sheets in place during staggered driving to ensure the sheets would not bind deep in the ground. HFDI completed the sheet pile and steel work install while Southwest contracting installed the anchors for the project.
